Franny Armstrong's must see climate change film, The Age of
Stupid, will be released at 35 cinemas across the UK on the weekend
of 20-22 March 2009. The film features Pete Postlethwaite as an archivist living in the future in an isolated pod, looking through film clips that illustrate events that led to climate catastrophe. Audiences at previews have found the film moving and a stimulant for action on climate change, suggesting this film make a significant impact on public perception of climate change. It is important that the film is viewed by as many people as possible on the release weekend. The length and breadth of the theatrical run of the film will be determined by the success of the release during this pivotal period, as decisions on overseas take up, TV deals and DVD distribution will be based on numbers through the doors on 20-22 March.
